Do the fireplaces produce smoke?

Usage

How do Bio-Blaze® fireplaces work?

The user manuals provide all the information on how to safely and effectively use Bio-Blaze® fireplaces. A Bio-Blaze® fireplace is a flueless solution that requires a burner and bioethanol for combustion. The burner can be ignited with a long match or lighter.

How do I fill the burners and how long should I wait before refilling?

Carefully pour the bioethanol into the burner using a funnel to avoid spills or overflows. If spilling occurs, wait a few minutes before lighting to allow the substance to evaporate. If the flame goes out, wait for the burner to cool down. You can refill the burner after about 20 minutes.

How do I ignite the flame?

You can use a long match or lighter to ignite the flame.

Can I extinguish the flame before the ethanol is completely burned?

Yes, you can extinguish the flame at any time. Use an extinguishing tool or a snuffer to put out the flame. It is not safe to leave the fire unattended.

What is the heating capacity of a bioethanol fireplace?

Bio-Blaze® fireplaces emit heat. Since the fireplace does not require a flue, the heat remains in the room. It can be used as an additional heat source. Depending on the size of the room and the heating capacity of the fireplace, it can provide heat ranging from 2 to 5.6 KW (6828 to 19120 BTU).

How do I clean the burner?

It is normal for a stainless steel burner to change color over time due to heat. Do not wash it with water or place it in a dishwasher. Stainless steel can be cleaned with a soft cloth and a liquid cleaner suitable for stainless steel.

Can I cook food over the fireplace flame?

No, the fireplace is not designed for cooking. Cooking over the flame can damage the burners. Damage caused by misuse is not covered under the warranty.

About Bioethanol

What is bioethanol?

Bioethanol is a liquid fuel produced in an environmentally friendly way. Please see the “Bioethanol Fuel” section for more details.

Does bioethanol have a smell?

Bioethanol is denatured by adding certain substances. Burning these substances may produce a slight odor upon ignition, but it fades over time. After extinguishing the flame, a smell similar to that of a blown-out candle may be noticed. This odor dissipates in the air.

Where can I buy bioethanol?

Bioethanol can be purchased from hardware stores, online, or from Bio-Blaze® retailers.

How long does the fuel burn?

One liter of bioethanol burns for about three hours.

Storing bioethanol

Bioethanol is classified as a Class 3 (PG II) flammable liquid, and its storage is regulated according to different standards worldwide. To store and handle bioethanol safely and legally, you should familiarize yourself with your national regulations.
